In 2016 SWMCOL introduced the first mobile tyre shredder in Trinidad and Tobago.  The equipment has the capability of shredding up to approx. 500 regular sized car tyres per hour.  The shredded tyres are reduced to a manageable size that can then be shipped to recyclers for processing into new products. An added benefit is that the shredded tyres no longer provide breeding grounds for disease-carrying insects and vermin.

By utilizing SWMCOL’s shredding service, tyre dealers and municipal corporations can assure citizens that their used tyres pose no threat to the environment.
